I’ve been thinking about Bruce Cockburn a lot lately and – in one of those great cosmic coincidences – there just happens to be a new book out about Bruce – Kicking at the Darkness: Bruce Cockburn and the Christian Imagination.
The book’s release at Christmas – a time when we celebrate light in the darkness, hope in the midst of despair, the spiritual among the secular – is very timely. And it reminds us again of Bruce’s uncanny ability to speak to our spiritual nature, without being too “religious.”
